Spruce is ideal for residential and commercial construction. SPF is straighter, lighter weight, and easier to cut. Species takes paint well, holds nails well, has small knots, a clean white to pale yellow appearance, and excellent fiber strength properties.

Studs and Dimensional Lumber are our main lumber products. We manufacture lumber in the following sizes for the wholesale North American and Export Markets. We will consider quantity and custom dimensions for Domestic or Export Markets.

2 x 4’s – S4S, planed, 294 pieces per package. Kiln-dried to 19% moisture, or less. Studs available in 92 5/8 and 104 5/8. Grade stamped Wane Free Stud, Stud Grade or Economy Stud. Dimensional Lumber available in 8’s, 10’s, 12’s, 14’s and 16 foot lengths. Wane Free and #2+btr are grade stamped. #3 and Economy are not stamped.

2 x 6’s – S4S, planed, 189 pieces per package. Kiln-dried to 19% moisture, or less. Studs available in 92 5/8 and 104 5/8. Grade stamped Wane Free, Stud Grade or Economy. Dimensional Lumber available in 8’s, 10’s, 12’s, 14’s and 16 foot lengths. Wane Free and #2+btr are grade stamped. #3 and Economy are not stamped.

2 x 3’s – S4S, planed, 399 pieces per package. Kiln-dried to 19% moisture, or less. Dimensional Lumber available in 8’s, 10’s, 12 foot lengths. Graded #3 or Economy.

1 x 4’s – S4S, planed, 560 pieces per package. Kiln-dried to 19% moisture, or less. Dimensional Lumber available in 8’s, 10’s, and 12 foot lengths. Graded #3+btr w/10-15% #4 or Economy.

1 x 6’s – S4S, planed, 360 pieces per package. Kiln-dried to 19% moisture, or less. Dimensional Lumber available in 8’s, 10’s and 12 foot lengths. Graded #3+btr w/10-15% #4 or Economy.

Our product except for Economy is paper-wrapped to protect them from the elements and provide easy recognition as La Crete Sawmills Ltd. lumber. All packages have two straps; 16 footers have three. Dunnage is attached to the bottom of each package.

Our lumber is delivered via truck or railcar. We can arrange shipments for all destinations.
